Every Friday morning for the past few months, I've been Skyping with my buddy, Erin. We're trying to get various projects and career goals in motion, while managing the family and dealing with ageism and sexism. And self-doubt. There's that, too. It's a monumental task and, thus, requires support.
Today's topics included the prospect of having a boss who's two decades younger, how things get easier when you don't have to be home for the school bus, how to juggle a blog and the other stuff, how to spend as little time at home as possible, how it sucks to sell your writing, and how the policy staffers in state legislatures are all under 30.
But there's hope, because according to Stephen Johnson, I have all the right ingredients to create a great idea – chaos and a group. (Thanks Wendy)

If I had a group, I’d be there.

What does Stephen Johnson say you get with chaos, a belt sander, and $5/fifth port?

I have a friend like that, too. It sure makes life a whole lot easier.
