Oh man. It’s pictures like this, and days like this (going into the second straight week of high 90s!), that really make me wish Kansas had some decent lakes.

Emphasis on the “crappy,” MH. I love living here, and don’t deny that the frequent little ponds, reservoirs, and small little lakes is a point in its favor. (It’s better than Mississippi, for example.) But when all these oversized ponds are compared to someplace with at least moderately clear-and-cold-and-not-infested-with-zebra-mussels lakes, however few or distant, I’m filled with envy.
