What about the sewer gators in NYC? (I tried to start a colony in Pittsburgh, but the region has yet to separate the storm sewers from the sanitary sewers. Too much ice-cold water gets down there in the winter.)
We were in the Everglades parks looking for gaters, but it was too cold for them that day. They wisely buried under the mud until the temperature was above 60.
