It's Friday afternoon. I've got a half hour to kill before I drop off my kids at my parents' house and meet up with a friend. If I were a serious blogger, I would point you to Paul Krugman's column on education. Fits in really nicely with our recent discussion in the comment section this week. Strangely similar to our discussion. It's theft, I tell you!
But I would rather talk about Jon Gosselin. I really enjoy how the gossip bloggers all refer to him as "The Douchebag."

I read the Krugman piece. I realize he has space constraints, but it still blows me away that he wrote an entire piece on how wonderful and important education is without once mentioning concretely what subjects and information he thinks young Americans need to study.
