On a crisp Sunday morning, would you rather go moose hunting with Palin, shopping for bat-mobile frocks with Cindy McCain, visiting the gym with Michelle Obama for an upper body workout, Amtrak riding with Biden, getting strong armed by "the base" with McCain, or getting coached by a team of advisers on how to look fierce with Obama.

The gym with Michelle, easy. Shopping with Cindy would be second choice, probably.

Actually I am into trains so I guess it would be Biden. Who knows, if I have a good enough time I might even vote for him- lol.

I don’t shop on Sunday, so that’s out. Moose hunting, not my thing. The gym or the train sounds fine, but in different company. The McCain thing doesn’t sound appealing, because it would be me (AKA the base) strong-arming him, and I expect strong-arming McCain is a bear of a job. I also can’t picture taking lessons on sounding fierce, since I’m plenty fierce already.
If it’s Sunday morning, we’d be in church. The afternoon would be family fun time.

Taking Amtrak definitely, but it would be cool if Jill were there to talk about teaching with me.

I’m with Amy. I’d rather be at church, which I think is the usual habit of all of the above except maybe the McCains.

I’d go shopping with Cindy.
I’d go shopping with Michelle, too. I’d like to go with Obama to hear Lawrence Lessig speak and then have coffee afterwards. No moose hunting with Palin, but I’d definitely join her for a family dinner. And, I’d love a playdate with Michelle & Sasha.
I’m willing to go train riding with Biden, though like Wendy, his wife seems like she’d be fun to have lunch with. I’d be willing to let him come along.
Can’t think of anything to do with McCain. Golfing? Does he golf or sail? I might be willing to do those.

Maybe McCain would like to go to the singalong version of Mamma Mia. 🙂 Hey, I’m in. DON’T JUDGE ME!!!!

I’d be game for the gym with Michelle Obama. She’d definitely be pumping bigger weights than I manage, but it’d still be fun.

I noticed that you forgot the “Moose hunting with Dick Cheney” option.

We’re only at church for two hours on Sunday mornings, which leaves plenty of time either to ride the train or go to the gym. I confess, the gym on a Sunday does not appeal — so I’d take the train.
Can Biden bring his grandchildren, so I don’t get my ear talked off on foreign policy?
Also, and not to take this too seriously, but I don’t pick my presidents based on who I’d rather hang out with on Sunday. Not by a LONG SHOT.

Or indeed a close shot to the face…

Is Cindy paying for the shopping escapade? If so,I’m in. She spends BIG $. Even if she’s not paying I’m in. How often do you have a chance to frequent a couture atelier with someone who is PURCHASING a frock?

I would rather spend my Sunday with a candidate seeing them on Meet the Press, etc.
I want to know what they are thinking. I don’t need more friends. Though would be happy if Cindy would give me the credit card and let me pick up a few things.

I would rather go shopping with Cindy McCain, but I think I need the fierce face lessons with Obama. I was just reviewing my student evals. Although one kid thought they should make a movie of me, another two thought that I was “too nice.” Fierce face time.

Meet the press is taped earlier in the week along with all of the other shows. Nothing is live. So hanging out on a sunday could be fun.
I’d prefer to be playing hoops with Obama and watching the White sox v Mets in the World series with discussions of bringing back tax credits for alt energy companies during breaks.
