Oooh, A New Guilty Pleasure

I plugged away at my article in a near empty college building this morning, until I took a break to scan the blogs on bloglines. In an old post, Belle Waring points to a fantastic show on British TV. Read Belle’s description. Here’s a clip of one episode:

  1. Don’t feel guilty! I watch this show a lot. It’s even more feel-good in my books than Super-Nanny because you tend to see real results by the end (whereas Super-Nanny’s just starting the parents on a long and arduous road).

  2. The wife seems to be a hoarder, but I hate the way the husband acts like an innocent bystander in his own house.

  3. My daughter and I love Clean House, which is on the Style Network. The most depressing episode, though, was the episode on The Messiest House in America. The people who lived there had serious hoarding problems. The CH people would suggest throwing away some piece of junk, but the people couldn’t bear to part with it because they might need it.
We love CH because there’s always a Yard Sale which is often hilarious as the CH staff try to sell as much as they can (to get $ to help finance the cleaning/redecorating). My daughter is so sad we don’t live in the LA area and thus can’t go to CH yard sales.
