I downloaded my camera yesterday and found these pictures of the kids in the snow. There were taken at the end of February, just a few weeks ago. Today, it is nearly 70. Weather whiplash.

Do your kids ever express how they have been feeling about the move to the ‘burbs?

It took the oldest one a year before he started saying that he lived in New Jersey. He self-identified as a “city-kid” for a very long time. It took him a while to get used to being on a different floor from us. He refused to go upstairs by himself. The biggest treat for the kids is when we go into the city for the day and ride the subway. But Jonah likes the freedom and the green fields out here. Now that it has been two years, old memories are fading, which is sad for us.
