I dropped off Ian at daycare and then fueled up for the ride into the city. I had to burn those fossil fuels to have humus and pita with two of my favorite bloggers, Dr. Manhattan and Jane Galt. My, that Jane is a tall drink of water.
Since I’ve started this blogging thing, I have had the good fortune to meet quite a number of bloggers face to face. It’s always amusing to see how closely they resemble their blogging selves. Smart and funny on the blog equals smart and funny in real life. It’s a little disconcerting to meet strangers who aren’t really strangers, but that wears off quickly.
I’m so pleased to be part of this extended, online discussion about life and politics. It’s the Algonquin Circle. But without the hard liquor, smokes, torrid affairs, and glamorous posing. Hmmm. Something’s wrong here.
Fun chat. The most important thing that we all agreed upon was that there is no bloody way that we’re rooting for the Mets.

Thanks!
