5. The Frozen Jasmine Rice — Pre-made rice is only for the laziest of cooks. I’m not proud.
4. Frozen Cod Sticks — Kiddies love ’em. Made entirely from some rectangular fish.
3. Tandoori Chicken — Individual lunch-sized meals, when peanut butter and jelly won’t cut it.
2. Frozen Peas — Again, kiddies love ’em.
and…
1. Black Beans Burritos — One of those, a salad, and a glass of wine is a perfect meal.

You left off my favorite:
Cheese & Jalapeno Tamales.
Those are the best when you live in the Midwest and can’t get good tamales fast. And they are cheap too!

Dark chocolate orange sticks. And roasted vegetable ravioli. And peanut butter pretzels. Oh, I miss Trader Joe’s.

Next time you are at a cookware store, take a look at the rice cookers. You put in the rice, put in the water, push a button, and go away. Always perfect. There’s a sensor in the middle which tells it to turn itself off when all the water’s boiled away.
Regain your pride!

The rice cooker isn’t just for plain rice. You can make entire meals in there. Search online for ‘rice cooker recipes’. Love my rice cooker!

What are the Trader Joe Oreos’s called? I miss those, but I don’t miss the “Two Buck Chuck” – yuck!

Love the bagged spinach salad kit (craisens, pecans, bleu cheese, dressing, etc.)
I like the frozen orange chicken for days when I’m really pressed for time…super easy. Also the frozen potstickers.
I also like the cheddar cheese with carmelized onions that they have had lately.
I also think two buck chuck is yuck.

I’ve been meaning to get a rice cooker. Any commendations of a good brand? I usually just do the pot/stove thing, but it’s always good to have those little frozen rice packets in the freezer just in case one of the kids is being Mr. Fussypants and won’t eat the potatoes for dinner and you don’t want him to go to bed hungry, because he’ll just wake you up in the middle of the night meowing for food.

My first was a Panasonic (National) and it lasted fourteen years. They’re pretty standard, I think.

3. Frozen potstickers (any kind) with a little Chinese hot sauce.
4. The entire dried fruit and chocolate covered X aisles.
5. Frozen Lemon/Rasberry tart.

Oh, I like the frozen Fire-Roasted veggies with Balsamic butter sauce best! And the jarred Indian Korma and Curry simmer sauces are excellent with chicken, as well. For dessert, frozen cherries mixed with Fage yogurt.

TJ’s edamame. Perfect snack for Pistola=a nutritious green vegetable that could not be easier to prepare. I get the kind that are still in the shell but that can be microwaved in about 60 seconds. The other great thing is that they’re easy for young children to eat, too. She was sucking the beans out of the shells all by herself when she was still tiny (18 months or so).
Chocolate covered, peanut butter filled pretzels. To die for.
TJ’s fruit leathers. So much cheaper than the Stretch Island Fruit Leathers.
Extra Extra Sharp Cheddar.

I know I’m (very) late, but I just couldn’t resist, ’cause I had to add the frozen artichoke tortelini to the list. To die for. At least for die-hard artichoke fans like me and my husband. I love the edamame, but the shelled ones… Let’s see. The peanut butter’s good. We also like the Moroccan dried black olives.

Their frozen beef tamales are really, really good. Microwave, wrapped in a wet paper towel for 3 mins – perfection! I love their frozen brown rice. Yes, I have a rice cooker but it is tricky to cook “perfect” brown rice. Theirs come out perfect every time and again, 3 mins=perfection. I used to LOVE their orange chicken but can’t help notice that the pieces of chicken have gotten smaller and smaller over the months. Their bulgogi (fresh meat) is pretty good too. Not 100% authentic (I’m Korean) but very tasty and high-quality beef. I heart Trader Joe’s! Just wish there was one closer to my house.
