Question of the Day

The Times. Style. Week in Review Opinion. Real Estate. Week in Review everything else. Magazine. Front page. Work-Life column. Book Review. Arts. The business and automobile section are immediately recycled.

Question of the Day. What is your Sunday newspaper? What order do you read the sections?

  1. I don’t get a paper delivered, although I read at least parts of a couple online. But not on the weekends.
My sunday paper right now is my math homework. Later in the summer it will be gardening and/or knitting.

  2. The edition of the New York Times that is home-delivered here in D.C. Usually I read the front section first, then—in no particular order—sports, Week in Review, business, Sunday Styles (a/k/a “Oh My God” at my house). I rarely open the travel secion. I leave the sections that I am most likely to spend some time with for last: the magazine, book review, and Arts & Leisure.

  3. Sunday NY Times delivered to So. Cal. First the magazine section ( read it if cover grabs me), then business, Sunday Styles ( aka sports page for women), and finally the front page and arts.

  4. The local rag here in StL is my every day of the week paper. The Sunday non-time-dependent sections are delivered Friday night! So I read the Comics, Travel, and “Everyday” sections first, on Saturday.
When we get the “other” Sunday paper on Sunday morning, I’ll read the Metro and Op-Ed sections, then Entertainment and front sections, then perhaps the Business section, which has the chatty bits from the WSJ in it. Occasionally I’ll thumb through the Real Estate section, just to see how ridiculous housing prices are.
Never read the Classified, or the Auto sections.
Special Health section comes on Monday, Style on Tuesday, Food on Wednesday, big Entertainment section on Thursday. Click and Clack (Car Talk) are in the Friday Auto section.

  5. My Sunday newspaper is a trashy tabloid (Sun Herald in Sydney). It’s the only one available. But the Saturday edition of the Sydney Morning Herald is like your Sunday papers, and my favourite paper of the week. I read the news first, and then work my way methodically through every thing else (ignoring the motoring and careers sections).
