We’re finally going to get ourselves a proper bed.  For years, we’ve been sleeping on a mattress and boxspring with the cheap metal frame that came with the mattress.  Which was fine, until the movers got their hands on it.  They folded our boxspring in half like an ice cream sandwich in order to get it up the stairs.  This involved sawing.  Now the whole bed is majorly sagging.  We need to either toss the boxspring and get a platform bed or get a proper base and headboard.  Maybe even put a brace on the boxspring.

Are platform beds uncomfortable without the boxspring?  Do platform beds look cooler?  Platform or Boxspring?
