In a large, white house covered with crimson dots from the berry eating birds, two boys and I are hidden away. Two sick boys traded in a stomach virus for a sinus infection. The oldest has been out of school for four days straight, and the youngest woke up with a fever of 101. I can’t face another two hour wait in the doctor’s office, so I’m hoping that I can beg some drugs from the doctor over the phone.
Sickness has been here in one form or another for a month now, but the last week was particularly rough. Bored out of my mind, I resorted to desperate measures. I cleaned. I ended the 20 day non-vacuuming streak, recycled old newspaper, and sorted out the digital pictures. It’s so bad that I might end up cleaning the tub today.
I am not sure what comes after the so-bored-I’m-cleaning phase. It might be Internet shopping.

My answer to kid-sickness-induced boredom is always Turner Classic Movies. (Or netflix, in a pinch.)

Internet shopping is superior to Home Shopping Network shopping at least.
