Friday night.
Watched Lost In Translation. Self-absorbed, rich people laugh at Japanese people and eat sushi. Anomie in Anime.
Saturday.
Two year old. Adept enough at the computer to boot it up, start internet explorer, hit the favorite button, find amongst long list of blogs the Teletubbie site, and then play Peekaboo with Po. All on his own. But also not old enough to know that one should not insert credit cards into the disk drive on the laptop. Now need a new, $400 optical drive.
Saturday night.
Bourbon. Watched The Last Samurai. Dances with Wolves with Sake. Husband gave lecture on the Maji Restoration and how the Japanese incorporated Samurai war techniques into WWII battles. Uh, yeah. Look at Tom Cruise. (Kidding, honey. Learned much.)
Sunday.
Bagels. Church. Cave into pressure and apply large, blue lights to outside of house. Husband takes over child duties. Run away to Starbucks and library to work on a book review.
This week on 11D. I have two longish essays that I’ve drafted this weekend. One a book review of Home-Alone America and another on the virtual communities on the Internet. I’m going to post the drafts this week to gather input and to stir up debate.

I am not sure why this post delighted me so much, but it did. Thanks.
Now I’m going to try to find the Teletubbie site & go play peek-a-boo.
